Behind the Lens at Foreverwood
Meet Crystal & Jon-Paul Brown
Our Journey Unveiled
Foreverwood Lens Photography was born from a shared love of storytelling through images. Founded by two passionate entrepreneurs, our journey began in the heart of North Carolina, where we sought to capture the beauty and authenticity of life’s most cherished moments. With a combined 30+ years in the creative industry, stemming from television production and news cameras, we strive to create images that resonate with emotion and tell a story beyond the frame.
Our founders, driven by a lifelong passion for creativity, have dedicated themselves to capturing the essence of every moment. Their journey started with a simple camera and a dream to make a difference through visual storytelling. Today, Foreverwood Lens stands as a testament to their vision, offering a unique blend of artistry and professionalism that transforms fleeting moments into timeless memories.
Meet Our Dedicated Husband & Wife Team

Crystal has been making mornings brighter on Mix 96.5’s Morning Mix for years, bringing her wholesome charm, quick wit, and just the right amount of chaos. A proud graduate of East Carolina University, she studied Production and Performance with dreams of making waves in television and radio—turns out, radio stole her heart in 2001, and she’s never looked back.
When she’s not behind the mic, Crystal is behind the camera. She’s been capturing life’s sweetest (and messiest) moments through photography since 2009, inspired by the birth of her first child. A devoted wife, she shares her love for all things media with her husband, a fellow radio and TV pro who also happens to be an officiant—so yes, he’s married people both on and off the air!
Whether she’s juggling mom life, making Melanie laugh (or groan) at her latest romcom-worthy moment, or sharing her heart with listeners, Crystal brings warmth, humor, and a whole lot of love to everything she does.

For the past 15 years, Jon-Paul has been helping couples ditch the stress and reclaim the joy of getting married by planning and officiating intimate destination elopements across Western North Carolina.
In my career, I have planned and executed over 5,000 destination elopement weddings!
Whether it’s just the two of you under a waterfall or a handful of your favorite people gathered on top of a mountain, I believe your wedding day should feel like you—authentic, relaxed, and deeply meaningful. My job is part guide, part planner, part storyteller, and all heart. I’ll help you navigate the details, craft a ceremony that reflects your story, and make the whole experience feel effortless.
And while officiating and planning are my main gigs, I occasionally step behind the camera for couples looking for simple, documentary-style wedding films that capture the quiet, candid moments most people miss.
When I’m not helping folks tie the knot, I’m usually in the kitchen baking bread or making pasta, playing my banjo (like a good Appalachian should), or hanging out with my wife and family on the back patio.
If you’re dreaming of a wedding day that’s more about meaning than performance, you’re in the right place.
